CCharlieFeldbaum 1I started Après 34 years ago out of the lower level of my home. Purchasing a full line of rental inventory and opening at my first location in time for the hectic Christmas season of 1987. We are now working out of more than 100,000 square feet.

Building a team of sales people, managers, drivers and warehouse staff over the past 34 years has given me a sense of personal satisfaction as well as knowing that my dedicated staff of about 125 has grown and prospered with me.

My son, Michael, has been with Après for the past 24 years and is dedicated to making the second generation of Après continue and grow in the community we serve as well as around the nation.

We thank the many loyal customers who have afforded us the expansion over the past 34 years and look forward to helping you with many more exciting and trendsetting events.

Going Green

Après is dedicated to working towards more eco-friendly practices. Fortunately, the basic nature of a rental business is one that emphasizes re-use of product.  We are continually making changes to GO GREENER:

  • Product: In 2016, we started cutting down damaged tables and refurbishing them into smaller rentable sizes.  
  • Paper: We prefer to email contracts when possible to save on paper. However, when printing in house, we have switched to paper that is made of recycled material, we print in only black and white (which is friendlier on the environment), and we also duplex when printing - so be sure to look at both sides of your contract!  Lastly, we have redeveloped our software to reduce unnecessary reprints and unneeded pages.
  • Laundry: Installation of an in-house laundry, thereby reducing transportation fuel costs, metal hanger usage, and plastic bag waste
  • Reuse: We do our best to reuse packaging materials such as bubble wrap, packing popcorn, and plastic bags to protect breakable items

I just wanted to thank you and your team for helping Dan and I (and my mom and Roger) have the wedding of our dreams! Everything in the ballroom was beyond perfect and straight out of a fairytale! Everyone kept complimenting the ballroom and even the LaCrosse Center staff said that was the best they have ever seen the space! You guys knocked it out of the park!

I finally got all of our pictures back and wanted to share a few with you. I didn’t see the finished ballroom until that evening when we did a little “first look” before dinner- my jaw literally hit the floor! :)

The decor was something that was EXTREMELY important to me, so I went to a few different show rooms to view people's rental items. I ended up picking Apres and was so happy about it. I worked with Andrea, and she was really great. She showed me a bunch of options and really helped me create my vision for the wedding. Apres is really great because you can add and omit things on your order up to three days before your wedding. I also received EXTREMELY prompt responses via email from Andrea. I used Apres for cloth napkins, fun linens, aisle runner, and some vase rentals. Everything was clean, pressed, and looked like new! The delivery arrived on time. I would definitely recommend Apres for your rental vendor because they are easy to work with and their stuff is awesome! Thank you for everything!

Our festival was a huge success this past weekend and I want to thank you for contributing to the overall image that your tents and lighting designs provided to create a wonderful ambience. I initially ruled out Après for my wedding rental needs because the prices were higher than others.  However, after a lot of difficulty with the sales teams at other competitors, I reached out to Après.  Becky was extremely helpful and accommodating to the delivery and pick up timing I needed for our venue.  The ease of working with your company made up for the increased cost.

"Great choices for linens and offered a lot of ideas for decor. They were very flexible and as we made changes to amounts and added chargers the week of the wedding they accomodated us quickly. We originally started with another linen company and were not happy with their service and professionalism and made the switch to Apres. That was the best decision we could have made. We have booked all of our rentals through Apres.  We worked with Susan, and so far, she has been a joy to work with.  She answered all of my questions up front, and eve though she was busy for a few days before she was able to send me my quote, she sent me a quick email everyday, just to touch base and let me know that I was still a priorty.  I shopped around a lot for rentals in the Twin Cities area, and Apres was very competitive (if you can get over the ridiculous pricing of rentals in the first place).  In the end, we borrowed tables, and I bought economy linens online, so all we needed to rent were chairs and glasses.  The wine and water glsases were WAY more affordable from Apres than anywhere else!)  I also like Apres' website.  You can actually see all of the items they offer in every category.  Looking forward to our wedding weekend and working with Apres!

I have been meaning to tell you how much we liked working with Apres.

For the record – I would recommend your company to any and all. Found Katiee to be a great person to work with. The tent looked great – it was a fabulous evening and the parents of the bride did not end up doing dishes til all hours of the night!!
I’ll have to see if there are any pictures with the tent setup. It did look great. We had neighbors stopping by every day after the tent went up – and several the night of the event - good advertising!

The service and staff at Apres were wonderful.  Katiee quickly figured out the look we hope to create for our barn wedding and had wonderful ideas to compliment ours.  Her taste is spot on, and her expertise immediately self-evident.  The deliver men were also efficient and pleasant.  We had one small order proble, which the staff corrected immediately.  From start to finish, it was easy to work with Apres.  My college-age daughter has been employed by a wedding planner for three summers.  She had advised, "Mom, this is the company that you are going to rent from."  She proved to be right.  Our whole family recommends Apres Party and Tent Rental for hassle-free rentals, terrific taste, and ever pleasant service.

I wanted to express my appreciation for both Karla and Jim, whom I have worked with for the past four years while coordinating the tents for our Festival.  Karla is very responsive to my emails and accurately facilitates a large order with many details.

Jim was especially helpful in directly assisting us with the tent set up and making sure we had our complete order. I know there is a lot to orchestrate at this large event, but appreciate his willingness to give us special attention. It helps our process to get the tent set up early on Friday since we have a large event in the park with multiple staff and lots of supplies.  His follow through and service really makes a difference.

I just wanted to again say thank you for all you did to help make the Ribbon-Cutting ceremony a success.  It was a proud day for South Loop, the Mall of America, the City of Bloomington, and the state of Minnesota.  The weather was nearly perfect and we had a great turn-out!  Governor Mark Dayton and Mayor Gene Winstead had such positive things to say about the past and current projects as well as future projects within the City of Bloomington.  Kurt Hagen, Sr. Vice President of Development with the MOA had very exciting things to say about the future of MOA as well.

Thank you so much for all of this last minute rearranging.  This Spring/Summer we have had way more events than we usually do, with less staff than we had this time last year, so it’s been a challenge to start planning anything ahead of or even on time.  Needless to say, I’m sooooo glad we went with you/Apres for both events.  I doubt setting up our orders and securing rain plan agreements would have been this easy with another vendor.  You are a delight to work with!

We had Apres do our cafe lighting at the McNamara Alumni Center.  They were the best value around which was why we chose them.  They sent a photo ahead of time so we were both on the same page as to what was expected.  They were easy to deal with and I didn't have to do much with them to get what was needed.  The day of the event it went off perfectly.  The lighting was hung as expected, it looked beautiful and there were no issues.   I would recommend these guys, the price is right and they do a good job with little effort on your part.

I want to thank you and the highly capable, professional and prompt crew who set up and tore down at the West Bank Green Line Light Rail celebration. Daniel called me early in the morning to confirm load in (which, was thankfully earlier than expected). We had a few unexpected guests parking in the lot, however, the crew worked around the cars, and even dealt with a few people who tried to park where they clearly should not.

All went well with set up and tear down. Après Party will certainly be the team I choose for future rental needs.

Hi Charlie:

We wanted to send you a note to let you know how much we enjoy working with Jim Bach and the great team at Apres on our annual Race for the Cure event.  Jim is a consummate professional and always provides extraordinary customer care and service.  We're commonly approached by other tent vendors in the Twin Cities to supply tents and staging for our event, but we choose Apres because we know that we are guaranteed superior customer service from Jim and his team.  We know that it all starts at the top, so please let us take this opportunity to thank you for all of your great support and service over the years.  Apres has been a great friend to Race for the Cure and the breast cancer cause, for which we have you to thank.

As we're sure you've already heard, we had some extraordinary challenges with the extremely high winds that hit our Health Expo (tent area) at the Race for the Cure this year.  Many tents were blown down and damaged on Friday night and Saturday morning, but Jim and his team managed to get everything re-built and ready for Sunday, Race Day.  We're all very thankful and grateful for Jim's great efforts.  He's the best in the business and we're always very pleased to have the opportunity to work with him on Race for the Cure.
