Given the opportunity to host your wedding at a private residence that overlooks one of the many gorgeous Minnesota lakes and happens to belong to one of your families, would you say yes? This couple did and never looked back! The bride had always dreamed of getting married at her family home and after seeing the location, I would too!
So many benefits to having your wedding at a privately owned residence; you can choose the decor, the caterer, the hours, and can have so many personal touches! We do reccommend hiring a planner to help sort out all the logistics and manage your vendors so you can enjoy the day. The wonderful team from Premiere Planning Services was there to help coordinate and guide the couple in making all the decisions necessary for the wedding to come together. We were thrilled to be asked to help with the rentals for the big day.
It all starts with a level area in the backyard, for this wedding a 40ft by 100ft tent was set up to hold the reception. While the ceremony took place just outside the tent overlooking the lake, the inside the tent was being transformed into the couples dream reception. The 200 guests watched the lovely couple get married while sitting under the summer sky in Gold Chiavari chairs. Following the ceremony a cocktail hour was enjoyed out on the lawn, and of course there were personalized lawn games to entertain the guests.
For the reception cool tones of coral, blues, mint, and gold filled the tent. Each guests spot had a Glass Chargers with a Gold Rim, a white napkin with menu card, and a single rosemary sprig. Guest tables were covered in three different linens; the Rustic Farm Tables (from Rudy's Event Rentals) with runners, some had Metallic Weave table linens, and the head table had Pennrose Burnout linen.
No wedding would be complete without some flowers. Richfield Floral did an amazing job not only on the colorful and eye catching floral but also with the draping in this tent. The draping really softens up the tent feel and adds to the romance of the evening. Love that the couple chose to use the grass as the floor rather than lay one. The green grass helps the tables and chairs to pop!
A candy bar was included at the reception for guests to grab some sweets in between dancing and mingling. An eye catching Gold Sequin Linen was selected for this fun table.
When leaving any event, I love to look back and see what the party looks like from the outside. As someone looking in, does the party look interesting, exciting? The below photo is the definition of that feeling, YES, I would have wanted to be at THAT wedding!!
